About
My name is Laura Burkhart! I am a mother to a beautiful 2 year old boy named Jaxson and a wife to my biggest supporter Bradley. I was born and raised in Florida and moved to New York 21years ago. I work for myself in the Beauty Industry and I am also a varsity cheerleading coach. I have been coaching 16 years and love working with my kids. I started in the beauty industry in 2008. That’s now 12 years ago, and it is still such a passion of mine. I originally got into the business because I loved doing make up. My plan was to be a big time make up artist and move to LA! Once going to Esthetics school I was trained in Skin Care, make up and full body and face waxing. I then fell in love with skin care. My first salon job I was mainly doing facials. I soon came to realize that I wanted more interaction with my clients, so I chose to go back to school in 2011 for nails, microblading and lashes. I soon realized my calling was lashes and microblading!! THAT is where my passion lies! Currently, my main clientele is lashes and microblading. I love making my clients feel more confident and adding to their natural beauty. Lash extensions are great because they enhance your natural beauty. I do a variety of lash extension looks. With a classic extension look, I add one single False lash to one natural lash. Length varies and depends on the look you want to achieve and the strength and condition of your natural lashes. If you’re looking for more of a volumized look; hybrid lashes (a mix of classic and hand-made fans are applied to the natural lashes) or; full volume lashes ( full application of premade 3-5d fans are applied to your natural lashes) are options as well. Microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin. Microblading differs from standard eyebrow tattooing because each hair stroke is created by hand using a blade which creates fine slices in the skin, whereas eyebrow tattoos are done with a machine and single needle bundle. Microblading is typically used on eyebrows to create, enhance or reshape their appearance in terms of both shape and color. It deposits pigment into the upper region of the dermis, so it fades more rapidly than traditional tattooing techniques, which deposit pigment deeper. Microblading artists are not necessarily tattoo artists, and vice versa, because the techniques require different training. Both services are amazing and my clients are never disappointed!! My mission in this industry is to help people feel MORE beautiful about themselves by providing exceptional services. I strive to not only be great at what I do but also to truly connect with each and every person, and establish long lasting relationships.Business Hours
